Berlin Tours
The Berlin tours from the Hotel Les Nations are an insider's tip not to be found in any guidebook. These idyllic bicycle tours are among our favourite journeys and are tried and tested by us: simply ask at reception and you then receive your exclusive tour plan.
We will gladly advise you as to well-known touring routes and we will put together your own individual bicycle route for you.
Upon request we gladly offer guided bicycle tours.
Tour 1: Along the river Spree to Spandau
Length: approx.
20 km

From the Hotel Les Nations you go straight along the river Spree to the Charlottenburg Palace park. Take a break at the "Tunneleck", a quaint cosy garden cafe. At the tour destination it is worth visiting the Spandau Citadel, and the Brauhaus Spandau for some refreshments.
Tour 2: Berlin Wall Path
Length: approx.
18 km

From the Hotel Les Nations you travel along the river Spree on the footpath/cycle path, past the main railway station to the former border crossing at Invalidenstrasse. Following the Spandau Navigation Canal you pass the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum (a museum for modern art) and a preserved watchtower from former East Germany, today a memorial to Günter Liftin, the first refugee to be shot at the Berlin Wall in 1961. The tour ends at the Berlin Wall Memorial on Bernauer Strasse, where the Chapel of Reconciliation and the Berlin Wall Documentation Centre can also be found. Entry is free. Two listening stations offer background information on the division of Germany and the history of the Berlin Wall.
